Post-WYD Outreach Programme

Greetings everyone.
As you might or might not have known, a Post-WYD 2011 Outreach programme will be organised this month. Details are as follows:

Date: 19th November 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 10.00am - 2.00pm
Venue: Assumption Learning Centre

We will be mingling with the Myanmarese community there and among the activities suggested are praise and worship, games and food.

Assumption WYD 2011 Movie Screening: Transformers 3

The Assumption WYD 2011 Contingent have got tickets for the movie's opening weekend.

Ticket details:

- RM20.00 each for free seating

- RM50.00 for a pair of numbered twin seats

Tickets can be purchased at all weekend masses in Church of the Assumption, PJ throughout the month of June and on all weekend masses on 25th - 26th June 2011 in the Parish of St Thomas More  or via Assumption WYD Pilgrims.

WYD 11 Fifth Pilgrims' Retreat

Objective: To prepare the WYD pilgrims spiritually for WYD 11 and to create bonding among pilgrims.

Appreciation
This month's team building activity touches on appreciating what we have. This activity requires us to draw a self-portrait using any parts of our bodies except our hands. Check out the photos below on how the pilgrims did it.

Challenges Faced by Christian Youth
The speaker for this month's session, Eddy spoke on the many challenges faced by Christian youths in terms of pre-marital sex, drugs, smoking and music.

Fundraising
The pilgrims were given updates on the fundraising activities that have been carried out and will be carried out. The statement of accounts were also presented during the Announcement & Updates session.

UPDATE: 5th WYD Pilgrims' Retreat

The fifth WYD 11 Pilgrims' Retreat will be held this Saturday, 14th April 2011 in First Floor, Assumption Family House from 11.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

Also, the remaining payment (for flight and/or Package B) will be DUE on the retreat day. If unable to attend or make payment, please inform in advance for other payment methods to be arranged.

Please take note of the following reminders:

- Attendance is compulsory for all monthly retreats. If unable to attend, please inform your group leaders in advance.

- Lunch will not be provided so please have lunch before you come. Snacks will be served during the tea break.

- Please dress comfortably, but also mass appropriate as the retreat will end with our pilgrim animated mass. Also, do bring along a jacket to keep you warm as the Assumption Hall can get quite chilly after several hours.

- Please bring your own note books, stationery and drinking water. Also, remember to bring your WYD File.

- Please remember to bring the travel insurance forms that have been given out to all pilgrims. The forms will be collected on the retreat day.
