WYD 11 Third Pilgrims' Retreat

Date: 12th March 2011

Place: First Floor Hall, Assumption Family House
Objective: To prepare the WYD pilgrims spiritually for WYD 11 and to create bonding among pilgrims.

COMMENTS

Armour of God
This month's team building activities taught the pilgrims to build the "armour of God" so that we can live life according to His way, instead of our way.

Repentance
Fr Martin spoke to the pilgrims about repentance and he also gave us this question to ponder on. The question was "What does God want of us through our personal witness, in our experiences of leadership and expression as youths and provide examples?"

Spanish Lessons
This month's Spanish lesson was about how to tell the time in Spanish. It was quite a tricky task for the pilgrims as telling the time in Spanish is not as straightforward as doing it in English.

Fundraising
The pilgrims were given updates on the fundraising activities that has been carried out and on future fundraising activities as well.

WYD Fundraising - Coffee Morning

Date: 6th March 2011
Time: 6.45 am, 8.30 am and 11.30 am masses
Place: Side of the church
Objective: To raise funds for subsidisation of costs for World Youth Day 2011 pilgrims

This month's coffee morning was carried out by St Ignatius of Loyola.

UPDATE: 3rd WYD 11 Pilgrims' Retreat

The third WYD 11 Pilgrims' Retreat will be held this Saturday, 12th March 2011 in First Floor, Assumption Family House from 11.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

Also, the payment for registration with Madrid will be DUE on the retreat day. If unable to attend or make payment, please inform in advance for other payment methods to be arranged.

Please take note of the following reminders:

- Attendance is compulsory for all monthly retreats. If unable to attend, please inform your group leaders or e-mail in advance.

- Lunch will not be provided so please have lunch before you come. Snacks will be served during the tea break.

- Please dress comfortably, but also mass appropriate as the retreat will end with our pilgrim animated mass. Also, do bring along a jacket to keep you warm as the First Floor hall can get quite chilly after several hours.

- Please bring your own note books, stationery and drinking water. Also, remember to bring your WYD File.
